How accurate are the calculations?​

Cover Calculator uses industry-standard specifications for book printing. Our dimensions match requirements for Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, Barnes & Noble Press, and most major print-on-demand services. We regularly validate our calculations against printer specifications.

What if my book has unusual specifications?​

For non-standard book sizes or special paper types, we recommend confirming dimensions with your specific printer. Our calculator works best with industry-standard trim sizes and paper types, though we continue to expand our offerings.

Can I use the dimensions for platforms other than Canva?​

Absolutely! While our tools provide Canva-specific instructions, the dimensions themselves are universal. You can use these measurements in any design software including Adobe InDesign, Affinity Publisher, or GIMP.

What paper types are supported?​

We currently support:

  • White (standard)
  • Cream (off-white)
  • Color (glossy)
