ReadyDad Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms​

By downloading, accessing, or using the ReadyDad mobile application (“App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you may not use the App.

2. Description of Service​

ReadyDad, developed by Kindled Studio (Ayden Mich) (“Kindled”, “we”, “our”), provides a bedtime story generator application designed to help parents create unique, personalized read-aloud stories for their children.

The App enables users to:

  • Create profiles for their children, including their name, age, and gender.
  • Generate personalized, automatically authored bedtime stories based on selected themes, moods, lengths, and optional life lessons.
  • Save, pin, and organize generated stories in a digital library for future reading (features may be subject to a Premium subscription).

3. General App Usage and Disclaimers​

The App provides fictional, generated stories. It does not provide psychological, educational, medical, or professional advice.

We employ rigid prompts and guardrails to ensure content is suitable for young children. However, because content is dynamically generated, you, the parent or guardian, are solely responsible for reviewing any generated story before reading it to your child to verify that the content is appropriate for your child's specific sensitivities, age, and maturity level.

4. User Accounts and Responsibilities​

4.1 Authentication​

You may sign in anonymously (as a guest) or using supported third-party providers such as Apple or Google. You are entirely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

4.2 Accurate Information​

You are encouraged to provide accurate information during the creation of child profiles (specifically age). The age input is actively utilized by our systems to adjust the vocabulary complexity, sentence structure, and thematic elements of the generated story.

4.3 Acceptable Use​

You must use the App only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Misuse, overload, or interfere with the App’s systems or APIs.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or bypass technical rate limits.
  • Intentionally attempt to generate inappropriate, violent, explicit, or harmful content.
  • Use the App or its generated outputs for any commercial, automated, or abusive activity (e.g., publishing generated stories for profit) without our explicit written consent.

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account under Section 11.

5. Payments, Free Tier, and Premium Subscriptions​

5.1 Free Tier​

ReadyDad offers a limited free tier that allows new users to generate a maximum of 3 free stories. These stories remain in your library. Free users may be restricted from certain actions like saving additional favorites, choosing long story lengths, or deleting stories.

5.2 Premium Subscriptions​

To generate unlimited stories, pin favorites to your library, select 8-minute story lengths, and unlock all app capabilities, you must upgrade to a ReadyDad Premium Subscription. Premium is available as a recurring monthly or yearly plan. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase.

5.3 Renewals and Cancellations​

Subscriptions will automatically renew at the end of the billing cycle unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage, upgrade, downgrade, and cancel your subscriptions directly by navigating to your device's App Store or Google Play account settings.

5.4 Refunds​

All financial transactions are securely processed via your mobile device's app store (Apple or Google). Therefore, purchases are subject to that respective store’s refund policy. We do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds. Please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support for billing inquiries.

5.5 Fair Use Policy​

While our Premium Subscription offers "unlimited" story generation, this is subject to a Fair Use Policy to prevent abuse and ensure high service quality for all families. "Unlimited" usage is intended for normal, personal read-aloud routines. We reserve the right to rate-limit or suspend accounts that generate an excessive, non-human volume of stories that places an unreasonable aggregate burden on our systems.

6. Data Privacy​

Your personal and account data is handled securely and in strict accordance with our Privacy Policy. You can manage or delete your child profiles and account data directly within the App. We firmly guarantee that your generated stories and profile data are securely processed and never used to train public data models.

7. Service Availability​

We continually strive to keep the App available securely and reliably. However, we may occasionally suspend access for routine maintenance, emergency updates, or due to unforeseen technical issues. We are not legally or financially responsible for any interruptions, data loss, or downtime that falls beyond our reasonable control.

8. Intellectual Property​

All software, code, designs, UI elements, and branding within the App are the exclusive property of Kindled Studio or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on your personal device for its intended purpose. You may not copy, distribute, modify, or reuse the app's software or branding without our prior written permission. The stories you generate are provided to you solely for your personal, non-commercial, family use.

9. Limitation of Liability​

9.1 Australian Consumer Law​

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any guarantees, warranties, rights, or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or any other applicable law that cannot be lawfully excluded.

9.2 Maximum Liability​

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to your use of the App is strictly limited to the total amount you paid for the App natively (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

9.3 Excluded Damages​

Under no circumstances are we liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, emotional distress, or loss of opportunity, even if we were advised of the possibility of such damages.

10. Termination​

You may stop using the App and delete your account and all associated data at any time via the in-app settings. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App, without notice or liability, if we reasonably determine that you have breached these Terms, misused the service, or engaged in abusive behavior.

11. Governing Law​

These Terms and your use of the App are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes or claims arising out of these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New South Wales, Australia.

12. Updates to Terms​

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our service, legal requirements, or business practices. Material changes will be prominently communicated through an in-app notice or by email. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your full acceptance of the revised Terms.
